This night I had the uncontrollable urge to post a kitten pic, after Lula talked about a cute black kitten in the happy thread. As I saw this morning, that Lady posted another cute kitten pic, it struck me: The time has come...for a cat thread.

Now, important: not only cute cats, but any cat you deem worthy to be marveled by your fellow barbeloids.

I´ll give a good example by posting some photos of the famous Evil Kitty.

This thread doesn´t need only be about pictures, we can also talk about anything cat related.

This is my friend Jo's cat, Biscuit. (Well, to tell the truth he's not her cat, more a local vagrant that always pops round to say hello.)

He is affectionaly known as the cat that ate a cat.

Even with the big dog, they dare not approach the cat, thereby once again demonstrating that cats rule!

I like the way the puppies move, for example how one steps on the other´s head, as if it´s the most natural thing in the world to do.

Half-serious question: are ginger cats more likely to grow to vast dimensions that cats of other hues? All the monster cats I've encountered have been of the orange shades. Are they a bit of a different breed of cat, or something?
(Do you know, I'm not even sure if there are different breeds of cat. I am a dafty. No doubt someone will educate me.....)

I don´t think so. A couple of years ago, a local boulevard newspaper had a "who´s got the fattest cat?" contest, and people send in photos of their cats, some weighing 16 kg. And those were cats of all kinds of mixes, and they looked very compassion inducing.

Sadly, GGM, that´s not my cat (and it´s always one and the same cat in the pictures = the famous Evil Kitty). I can´t have cats, because I´m allergic. After a couple of hours my eyes itch, I have to sneeze a lot and it gets hard to breathe.

Evil Kitty is a famous cat, who once had her own photoshop contest. Attention: some of these photoshops might offend people.

Every week I pick a cat pic and post it here. My choices will be unusual or otherwise interesting images of cats.

This cat has a very gentle, stoic and solemn expression. Surely the owner, when ze has a busy or otherwise stressful day, must only look at the cat to realize "my problems can´t be that serious now, can they?".

Let us not forget Stuff On My Cat.Com, where the cats almost always have this look on their face of either patient suffering or iminent murder. Some of those cats look like they're about to jump onto the photographer, latch onto hir throat, and start smacking them around for the insult.

Also, all praise the Zen cat. He looks like some sort of crested Chinese dragon. Very beneficent and zen-like, very calm. And occasionally he'll eat people.
