Appears that someone at Modern Humorist has been reading their Grant Morrison--I'm getting a distinctly Flex Mentallo vibe, here...

It might work more for me if I knew the answer to this question... Who is Mr. Rogers and what is it with his Neighbourhood?

I'm not American, so I'm not as versed in Rogers-lore as I should be, but basically, I believe it's a kids' show that features Mr Rogers - who looks surprisingly like Hugh Hefner from some angles - doing stuff in his neighbourhood. Like a septugenarian Sesame St, maybe?

There's a PBS homepage, too.

Oh sure, you Brit bastards can bang on about Chris Morris and, I don't know, Blue Peter and fucking Noddy and we're all expected to just smile and nod and never complain...

It's an American thang, sweetie. You wouldn't understand.

Fred Rogers is a great man. The world will be poorer with his shows passing.

This reminds me of the deaths of Mr. Hooper and Jim Hansen. Sad.

Yeah but nothing is worse than the passing of The Friendly Giant and Mr.Dressup without Casey and Finnegan..what a cruel heartless world.

imagine a world... in which no one has heard of Mr. Rogers...
