Rogue Body Hair

I have no idea how I could have not noticed until now. I have a single arm hair, about one third of the way behind my wrist, which is a full two inches long. I am leaving it there purely so that people will believe me.

Maybe it's not as important to the world as the Monkey-Man of India, but it's important to me. Dear God, please don't let me be the first 10 minutes of Teen Wolf.

I hate rebellious body hair! My hair is blonde but every once and awhile a black one will pop up. Usually on one of my arms. I can feel the difference. It's a little bit thicker. It just feels so wrong! I have to spend all day trying to pull it out. *shakes fist*

This one is blond, which is nonstandard. Perhaps it's yours?

Take it from a crusty old bastard of 34: it only gets worse.

If you'd told me ten years ago I'd be regularly shaving my ears--the outer ear, no less--I'd have fucking killed myself.

I am my father's son; I know that I shall be well protected from the nuclear winter. I was just shocked and amazed at the singularity of purpose this arm hair has shown, both in length and in its ability to hide in plain sight. I think I'm going to try and make it a familiar.

I found a similarly long hair on my arm once -- but there's a single eyebrow I'm even more fond of. I'm hoping to mature into a full John Houseman fringe some day.

I have a single, solitary mustache hair on my lip. Just the one. It's next to my lip peircing so I'm going to try and train it to grow round the post, like a teeny-tiny little wisteria.

I heard about this woman once who was into pulling out and swallowing her hair. One day she somehow got one with a live follicle and it took root inside of her belly. Don't mess with follicles, dudes. They're the enemy within.

I don't know about follicles taking root in one's stomach, but swallow hair for a long time and you might wind up with a trichinobezoar.

Sorry Mordant, someone had to. I'm just surprised I was the first.

here's one - hair, can it really be psychologically affected?

I was told I had a white patch of hair on the back of my head, in my final year, a stressful experience. I did check it out in a mirror and it was definitely paler than normal.

Perhaps an individual hair of ridiculous length is evidence of a deeper-rooted psychological problem? Maybe this explains why rogue hairs sometimes pop up on bits of my face that are otherwise free of the things.

I've had long, single, blonde rogue hairs before. They're usually quite loosely-rooted if you feel inclined to give 'em a tug. :D

Hair cancer.
