Good day/bad day

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
09:28 / 12.12.05
Bad day- woke up and my face is all smashed to fuck and my glasses are scratched like a record that's been eaten by a bear.

Good day- having made all the appropriate phone calls, it turns out I didn't get beaten up or anything (and especially good, I didn't get into a fight with any of my friends, which was my main worry)... I just fell over in lilly's garden while very drunk.

Bad day- have to go back to work tonight.

Good day- have the rest of the day to make up great stories about what happened to my face.

Good day! It's almost the end of issue, and hence, end of work for the year.

Bad day! I have to go to work and finish the issue tomorrow.

Good day! Tuesday night means free booze, a free gig, and possibly a ten-cd voucher for being swellegant.

Bad day! I have 60 pages of data entry to finish before then.

...but you get your choice of topping!

It just occurred to me- isn't in lilly's garden a Wildhearts song?

Good day (or bad day- not sure which yet)- my life can be summarised by Wildhearts songs.

Bad day- just tried cleaning up my face and IT STINGS! IT STINGS!

Good day: listening to The Wall for the first time in years, and remembering why I liked it.

Better day: data entry has just revealed the existence of a company called "Embryo Plus". I hope they have concessions in service-stations.

Bad Day: woke up to realise that it is, yet again, Monday.

Good Day: wake up a little more to remember that this is my last day in work until after christmas.

Bad Day: almost fully together and it dawns on me that this 'holiday' time is in fact because I have exams all week. Panic sets in as I admit to myself that I should have done more reading by now.

Good Day: Total despair avoided at the last minute when the fact that these exams are actually mocks seeps slowly into my brain.

And that was all before I brushed my teeth.

By the way, does anyone else remember a learning to read book called: That's Good, That's Bad? Pretty much followed the formula of this thread.

13:19 / 12.12.05
Good day: This morning I avoided being mocked for my drunken foolishness on a night out with my colleagues.
Bad Day: It turns out they were saving the mocking for this afternoon.

Evil Scientist

Good day: There are doughnuts, chocs, and crisps aplenty in the lab today for Christmas celebrations.

Bad day: We're periodically being driven outside by rising levels of formaldehyde in the air, after fumigation at the weekend. De goggles! Dey do nuting!

Good day: me mum's gonna lend me some cash to get me glasses sorted.

Bad day: being my mum, she gave me the "too much booze" lecture. Which made me feel especially bad, as she doesn't actually know about my drink problem- "ooh, you'll end up in hospital one day", already happened, mum. Your worst dreams have all come true, but I ain't about to tell you that. Lying to your mum sucks.

Good day: HMHB's Achtung Bono still proves itself incapable of NOT making me smile.

Bad day: I, erm, I'm not quite sure how to tell you all this... I just bought the new Fields Of The Nephilim album. I know. I'm a horrible person.

My Mom Thinks I'm Cool
15:45 / 12.12.05
good day: woke up early and it was snowing again. had time to work out before work.

bad day: my supervisor and building manager were late for work so I couldn't get into the building for half an hour and didn't ever get the info I needed to go ahead on this project that should have been done 3 days ago.

good day: spent the half hour hanging out in the cool old secretary's car while she told a vivid story about a gospel concert she went to long long ago.

bad day: had to warn a girl I work with about how I didn't get any sleep saturday night and decided sunday morning while still loopy that I should send her a long weird email she's not going to want to read. still nervous about what's going to happen when she does. have formed new personal rule: no more sending emails before I take my medication at lunch. also managed in the same conversation to make her defensive about her taste in movies so I feel like a dick.

good day: it's lunch time so I get to take my medication which may make me stop feeling like a dick. and acting like one.

Good day: I've been awake to watch cartoons (Spider-man etc)
Bad day: I have a final exam in 2 hours and I need to find quotations to use. At this point I'm really tired but it's far too late to go to bed.
Good day: it's my last final and I'm going home in a week.

It just occurred to me- isn't in lilly's garden a Wildhearts song?

Yup. Off Phuq - it's about an old downstairs neighbour of Ginger's, a lovely old Geordie lady who used to let them bury their deceased pets in her garden and helped them with the funerals...

Good day: backs not hurting so bad, and am thus able to work and earn money.

Bad day: I'm at work.

Good day: had to go to Hamleys and buy twelve George Bush dolls, giving me the chance to pay with a £130 Lightsabre.

Bad day: had to leave Hamleys.

Good day: a beautiful Italian woman smiled at me in a naughty way as I was getting my boss's organic soup.

Bad day: Jack Dee just sneered at me on Wardour Street. (Actually, that might not be a bad thing).

Good day: still waiting...

Alex's Grandma
13:23 / 14.12.05
Good day: I wrote a soulful, heartfelt piece of poetry. My best work ever.

Bad day: It was pointed out to me that Keats had done that already.

Good day: 'Not word for word, surely,' I rejoindered, pretty wittily, I felt.

Bad day: 'Well yes. You do appreciate, though, Mr Alex, that's there's no possible way we can publish this stuff. What with the estate and everything.

Good day: I don't mind telling you, dear readers, that I basically flounced out of the room.
