I have heard of him, but never heard him. Or seen him. He's a friend of my mate Alasdair (who used to post on here a couple of years ago; some people might remember meeting him at my birthday party once)

Whoa, cool!

A friend of mine has a mega-crush on him, she's always playing his CDs, so I've heard him quite a bit. He's an incredible songwriter, but he tends to sound a little too much like Tom Waites. Not that that's neccessarily a bad thing...it just makes me want to put on Black Rider or Rain Dogs instead...
