Evening gentlemen.

I never realised what a gift I have for putting things off before today. I have a mountain of - well, something I need to do before Monday, something really boring, and lots of it - and I seem to have spent all day pottering. Literally, pottering around. And I’ve just noticed, I’m even wearing a bloody cardigan. I must have picked it out this morning as some kind of sublimated statement of my *intent* to do sweet bugger all. And now I’m here.

On the plus side, all my houseplants are watered. How are you, Tann?

OK, thanks... similarly dilatory. I need to do my taxes, and have not yet even looked at the papers. In fact, I think I may have lost them. So, I am goign to put it off, and then panic and throw money at an accountant. Actually, i think I might bump that forwards a bit. I earn money precisely so I don't have to think about it...

Otherwise, well. Out tonight at a birthday party in Chalk Farm - a leading light of the burgeoning London knitting scene. I kid you not. Knitting is apparently the new black.

That is disconcerting. I think it would probably work better without the caption, though. Fear the busy. The "Kerry has his hand up Edwards' arse" gag is a whole different mise-en-scène...

As I blogged... given that I was hoping for Dean-Clark, I'm surprisingly happy about Kerry-Edwards. Edwards is stodgy and dull, but he has the gravitas, and I think Edwards might be sharp and bouncy enough to show up the GOP offering as both crusty *and* evil... Lord knows what happens if they actually get into power, but getting Bizarro #1 out has to be priority...

Actually, on reflection, I have concluded that Hackman's potential health problems (hand amputation, Kryptonite-induced cancer) would count against him, and am now backing Degaton-Cain. For a new America.
