Let's not forget all the lovely flavoured vodkas to choose from. Make mine sour apple w./tonic over crushed ice. Great for those unbearably hot humid evenings.

There's this Jamaican pub that lets hardcore bands play about once or twice a week. There's a drink that the owner says is very strong and popular among his normal Jamaican clientel called The Incredible Hulk. It's ten dollars a drink. Anyone ever heard of this? I'll ask what's n it next time I'm at a show.

I have heard of it before Jack, just have never had it. Here are a few possibilities of what it could be.

Many good suggestions here (my mouth is currently watering for a Bloody Mary), but in general I'll stick with Jågermeister, not so much for its aid to the digestion but for its genial, stupor-inducing properties and (for me at least) kindness to the mind and body the next day.

Thinking back to cheap drinks, I can definitely recommend cranberry juice and vodka. It worked even with vodka with listed ingredients.

I have had a bloody mary made with tinned tomatoes with herbs (student cocktail party). The tomatoes weren't pureed properly, and I think the can had added sugar too. It was absolutely the most horrible thing I have ever ever drunk.
