"What has happened is that a 'concerned' citizen wrote a letter to various governing bodies about the activites that were taking place at FIST. I only found this out a few days ago............We were told that these activites had to stop. So I have decided to close the club because I do not want to run a watered down version of what FIST is about."

I can't come to this event, so have the best fun. I'm furious that the place is having to close, though. Where the hell do such people get off on spoiling the fun for others?

I always expect those of an unimaginative and Victorian (outwardly Victorian, not behind-closed-doors Victorian, as we all know Victorians were a bloody pervy lot really) outlook to be secretly envious of and fascinated with 'alternative' lifestyles and sexual choices. And this would've been a perfect opportunity for someone to go in and do the voyeur thing, while kidding themselves that they were fighting the good fight. But maybe I just have a warped mind.

Doesn't seem like it. I'm actually not even going myself now, due to mental health issues. There is possibly a Gaydar/Gingerbeer meet for it though - 10pm sharp at The Silver Bell, on the corner of Denmark Hill and Camberwell Green, if that helps at all.
