it's mostly related to ASS, and the oft-repeated story of how he was asked to revamp some old unknown characters which lead to 7S.

I love that.

He's gonna get sooo angry, and lazers are going to come out of his head, and...

Calamity Jon Morris loves M.O.D.O.K.! (And hates Ford!)

I like when he flipped on his back and his internal colostomy bag flooded his processing units.

...is that Rocky the Squirrel attached to MODOK's nose?

It's Squirrel Girl's squirrel. Is he called Rocky? Got it off scans_daily; think it's from the GLX-Mas thing out today in UK. Didn't get it myself, but that's a sweet panel.

Rocky the Flying Sqquirrel is a character from an old cartoon, ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE. he wore a little blue flying helmet, hence the confusion.

Squirrel Girl's companion is named Monkey Joe. AND HE IS PISSING M.O.D.O.K. OFF ROYALLY!

Oh, yeah. No, I really loved that prog when I was a nipper.

It's so brilliant that you know what Squirrel Girl's squirrel is called, Jack. I might squee.

I had to Google it.

If he made a habit of clinging to MODOK's nose on a regular basis, I'm not surprised.

This is Squirrel Girl's new squirrel, Tippy Toe. She's a lay-dee. I read the GL-XMas Special today -- it's pretty hilarious, very much in the vein of the previous miniseries. There's only nine or ten panels of M.O.D.O.K., so don't plunk down $4 for that, but it's a pretty strong book overall.

Today, I got the the Essential OHOTMU, and I can inform you MODOK's real name is George Tarleton, or something like, and he was born in Bangor, Maine.

Oh momma!

Think he comes in parts and you have to buy 6 figures from the Marvel Legends series 14, but maybe I could pick up all the pieces off ebay for cheap.

My god. its...horrible looking. That look on MODOK'S face fits perfectly with the gout of fire coming out of his ass. Teeth clenched in pain and concentration, eyes rolled back...we know that that is a fire coming from deep within.

Oh the pain.

I think Warren Ellis might have mentioned putting M.O.D.O.K. in NextWave. He'd be a perfect fit for it.

So THAT'S what that is in his hand!

Right. Lets leave he man-head be. He's had enough excitement for one day.

In another thread, I called for Ellis' assassination if we don't have M.O.D.O.K. in NextWave by issue #8. Perhaps you're just thinking of that? (If we do have word from Ellis himself, however, that'd be good stuff.)

that may be it ... I thought I might have seen him mention it in a Comics Shop News interview, but that could just be wishful thinking/imagination.

Hey, MODOK Spotters! Did anyone else see Modok in this month's Fantastic Four? It was only one panel in a flashback the Hulk was having but I enjoyed it.

I don't reckon you can go past the original figure, meself. A little more the comfortable side of clenchy.

Is it me, or are all action figures gritty and grumpy these days? Does nobody smile in the superhero world anymore?

God help us, we're back at the "gritty realism" stage, aren't we?
