Two weeks ago, I linked to the Journal Of MODOK Studies and I'm told it resulted in a "LOT" of orders. So much so that the publisher has had to go back to print and tells me orders will be fulfilled by Last Gasp this week. Oh, and there's another issue out for Christmas.
And now back to non-Rich Johnston stuff - I skimmed one of the M.O.D.O.K. issues of Cap & The Falcon recently (the latest one), which features our big-headed boy flying around shooting at Cap, going "DESIGNED ONLY FOR KILLING / DESIGNED ONLY FOR KILLING / DESIGNED ONLY FOR KILLING" to sound like a badass. At one point Cap says to himself, "Hey, the real MODOK had more of a vocabulary than this! Maybe this isn't the real MODOK!" At the end, MODOK seemingly exchanges brains with some waiter dude or suddenly appears in the form a tall thin guy with a slightly bigger head than usual (less than Hulk's The Leader and more like the DC villian Psimon), saying while floating in mid-air, "DESIGNED ONLY FOR KILLING" |
