But Stoatie, it's all about parsing. They weren't a Mobile Army Service Hospital, they were a Service Hospital for the Mobile Army. (The Stationary Army, by contrast, were plainly just expected to sit there and damn well take their lumps.)
That's my explanation, anyway. Thank you. I will now leave this thread, before five people jump on me to explain why "parsing" wasn't the right word to use earlier. |
