Alan Tudyk (aka Wash) looks to have a fat role in this week's episode of CSI (thurday at 9:00 pm).

Well, Joss was on Fanboy Radio the other week and said that there would only be new Firefly material if it involved vocal or physical performances from the cast because they were such an intrinsic part of the process, so it looks like someone has made him an offer that fulfill's his criteria.

I can see Firefly as a cool computer rpg made by Bioware possibly, but as an MMO? Well I remain to be convinced.

I have an odd kind of faith that a Firefly MMORPG could be very good. Then again, I have an odd kind of faith full stop in most of the Firefly 'verse.

I was minding my own business, watching Ordinary People, Best Picture winner of 1980, directed by Robert Redford, never having seen it before. And in one scene, a 15/16-year old bully-type talks trash to our young protagonist, a teenaged Timothy Hutton.

And I said to myself, "Holy shit, that looks and sounds like a young Adam Baldwin! Gotta check the credits."

And lo and behold, Adam Baldwin is a trash-talking tough-guy jock in 'Ordinary People.' The seeds of Jayne were planted early. I'd never heard of Baldwin other than his role in Full Metal Jacket and Firefly/Angel, so this was shocking to me to see that he'd been a child actor. Had to tell someone; and this was the only place I thought would be appropriate to post about it. Carry on.

Finder, if you liked seeing him in that, you should check out the film "My Bodyguard." It's a great late 70s teen flick starring Baldwin and Chris Makepeace (and Ruth Gordon). Quality film and Baldwin gets a lot of screentime.

Adam Baldwin looks so....well, so ungainly in that film.
