From the account given to me last night by Lilly, it really does sound great, and I would have been there but for it being my turn for a night in with our dear child. But you know what? It makes me really happy that Lilly got to see Jarboe (and you did too, of course), and to go out for the night as well.

Oh yes, and Jarboe's album has got Edward Ka-Spel as a guest vocalist on one track, as well as further collaborations with Blixa Bargeld and David J, among others. That makes me happy too.

It's a couple of minor happies, but I'll take what I can get:
Over the weekend I passed the 1000 posts mark. Do I get my badge & mystical robes now?
Yesterday I went round a friend's house for a proper sunday roast and happily sat around doing traditional sunday activities, like drinking tea, and doing the washing up, and watching Antiques Roadshow, which was nice in a domestic kind of way. It's something I sometimes miss about living at home.

Despite being snuffly, and due to visit my parents, I am yet cheerful. Because the farm at the end of their road has a field full of alpaca. Pregnant alpaca.

I suspect my parents will rumble me if I visit again in less than four months, though. 'Oh, y'know how it is; age brings realisation of the importance of family, new sense of maturity, rah rah rah. Where are the little woolly rascals?'

I just went to the thrift store and I got "wishbear" which is a carebear that sings. It told me it's name. It's in perfect condition. I've gotta figure out who it was that was telling me recently that they wish they had carebears, so I can give it to them. "Can I have a great big carebear hug?"

I also got 6 teddy bears and a moose and a dog with a hat and a scarf. The moose has weird arms and I had one just like it when I was a kid. Somehow I don't have a lot of my old stuffed animals (although I've never lost/sold/thrown away a single doll, except Barbies of course because I don't like barbies and I was happy to get rid of those. I have a lot of dolls.)
