Since the new member profiles no longer have homepage URLs on them, it might be nice if people could use this thread to list the locations of their blogs, art-pages, rants, etc. I like reading people's stuff, especially on boring work days like today. (and there's only so long Barbe-feuds can hold my interest)

I just acquired a spiffy new Live Journal.

Oh, and it might be cool to have a page (or a side-panel to the underground, like many blogs have) of links to members' pages. If they so desire. How bout it?

My LJ is username fridgemagnet, oddly enough.

last thing I put up was a big Bill Hicks-esque rant about America.

dunno when I'll next update it, I'm too sort of, well, howyousay, splattered, spread out, lacking in time/energy..

Out of interest, how do people handle their blogs? As a collection of published works, or as a journal? I do a mix myself. I know there are people who go onto it because of my site, but they can take it or leave it really. I wouldn't want anyone thinking that my LJ was some sort of "ready for publication" piece... but some bits of it are.

batman doesn't love me anymore

that's quite possibly the best name i've ever heard for anything ever.

Not Me Blog

At the moment, just a collection of links to stuff I'm interested in, and little about me. I am considering changing it to include more personal stuff. I am aware, however, that while that is sometimes fascinating, it's also dull as hell sometimes.

What do you think I should do?

Stoat-ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH
14:43 / 13.04.02
Does somebody wanna pm me with some web fu hints (for a guy who has about as much grasp of computing as Catweazle) on how you go about actually DOING this stuff (blogging etc.) as it seems like a good idea, but I don't know where to start. Or whether it IS even a good idea.

irresponsible utopian demagogue The title was a phrase used by a Mexican official to describe the zapistamovement (probable sp! but hey, i ain't getting paid for this...) Who knows i may get round to changing it some day...

Content is whatever i want to chat about at the time.

Your URL doesn't seem to be responding at the moment, sleaze...

Mine's a copy and paste job, I'm afraid:

http://www.nelson-evergreen.com

Being a series of achingly profound insights into the nature of the universe, dolled up to the eyeballs as flippant comic art. Includes collaborations with regulars from the Creation forum (only one finished so far, but I'm working on the others).

And stoate: I'd help you out, but, um... I suck at blogging. So may I just recommend you shamelessly ape a combination of
fluxblog, notopia and kookymojo. For my money, the best three blogs I can remember the URLs of that might have some relevance to you.

The Return Of Rothkoid
18:04 / 13.04.02
Ach. I visit and just get ignored. Blah.

My ill-considered pile of verbiage is here. Visit, read, comment. Ignore? Probably.

Stoatie; it's pretty simple to get one - just pay a visit to Blogger, sign up and go. Choose "blogspot" hosting if you don't have any webspace. PM me (or let me know when you'll be in the pub) and I can give you some more help, iffn you need it.

Err... you ahve a Live Journal, Evil. It's quite debateable just how private that actually makes you...

Captain Zoom
23:53 / 13.04.02
What're you sayin', huh?
That I'm some sort of exhibitionist? Is that what you're saying? That right now, as I type, I've got my willie hanging out the window, is that what you're saying?

Well, I'm not. At least, not right now.

Okay, fine, maybe it's not the most private of places to jot down one's innermosts, but if I think people are reading it I'm more likely to update it.

Evil Zoom.

I agree. Many times, the thought that people are going to read it is enough to reign myself in and think about what I'm doing. Which has a disturbingly large impact on my general mood. In much the same way the all those old times here (I Need A Hug, specifically) only perpetuated my mood further, so does writting depressing blog entries. As happened in my little all-May-long hissy fit...

The effect my blog, as well as here and MSN has on my mood is frightening, and it's very easy to slip into the general depressed schema every time I sit infront of the monitor. I heartily warn all people here off doing that on yr blog. People will stop reading it, and so you'll go further up yr own arse and all in all everything won't help.

Whoa. Possibly getting a bit confused between here and Self Destruction...

Matthew Fluxington
00:35 / 14.04.02
Um, thanks for saying nice things about Fluxblog, Glint.

I think Suds, Videodrome, Jim Treacher, and Douglas Wolk have some of the best blogs that I am aware of, and are the people I most shamelessly rip off. (Even though my blog pre-dates Jim's...)

Which reminds me: I really must start updating mine again. I haven't had a really good rant for weeks.

Another live journal:overdrive!
No one and I mean no one reads it.
not even me.
(p.s put target="0" in your link to have it open in a new window. )

Tom Coates
14:51 / 15.04.02
actually it's best to use target="_blank" because otherwise it gives the new window a name (in your example '0') and then if any other link says 'target="0"' it'll open in that window. _blank ALWAYS opens a fresh window...

Our Lady of The Two Towers

One of these days Tom is going to give me a Barbe-blog because I'm too lazy to go set up one myself...

I maintain an effort which you can see here. The archives are a bit better than the current stuff. But it's not great anyhow. I've been busy, don't you know.

I blush, Flux. But er, I guess I can't pimp my shit here without being repetitive. But I'll pimp Flux and Rothkoid right back, as I read them regularly.

Just a couple of little efforts by me out there:

firstly my little journal/portfolio of stuff

and not forgetting this which is the online novel that this name seems to of high-jacked for his own purpose. Pity poor Magpie.
