heard on the news this morning about a snowboarder killed. apparently he was the bassist with aberdeen hm band 'my decaying leg'. is this the silliest name for a band, ever? (no, actually, doesn't compete with 'seats of piss', for example). has anyone heard them? should we be in mourning?

Is Seats of Piss a real band name? Wow. Impressively bad. But My Decaying Leg has *much* more ick factor, albeit in a distinctly half-hearted way.

he was only seventeen. that's pretty sad.
snowboarding is hella dangerous, i must say. i went in the himalayas and it's crazy how fast you go once you do get going. whoosh.

Actually, there is pretty much no way I would try snowboarding - I am dangerous enough on the PS1 game 'Cool Boarders'. Sorry for being flippant re. death of 17 year old... can't think about all the unnecessary or horrible deaths in the world though... and anyway, the name My Decaying Leg is a fantastic legacy. After a fashion.

some of my brother's friends are in a band called 'Mother Feeds me Pins'. And they're dead serious about it, too.

seats of piss were a real band, i saw a review of them in maximum rock and roll some years ago. there was a sprog punk band a few years ago called the walking abortions. they were on the local news and were quite good, if i remember correctly, and very 1977 - outraging the local vicar and suchlike.
