the phone rang at 11.01 at work and I stayed in my silence, knowing the majority of my fellow countrypeople were sharing my solemn thoughts. the same people who had a collection for the victims of the Bhuj earthquake. sometimes there are moments when you can just affirm your faith in your fellows without the customary (and perhaps necessary) cynicism. and it's bitterwseet but glorious.
