Those dollies usually look a little odd. I do like Batwoman and Isis though...

You mean "Curiously Caucasian" Isis and "I can't feel anything below my pelvis" Batwoman?

I am curious why Buddy is the only one without leg articulation.

Just finished the first two trades. Continuity Aliens make me squeal.

Not sure about the art, very uneven, but I think that's common amongst GM's early works.

Freedom Beast!

I need to reread in more depth, but I liked the Coyote Gospel and, in fact, the recurring "gospel" stories of characters like B'wana Beast that often lead to miscommunication rather than understanding.

And, of course, there's the issue of trade #3...

If you liked the first two trades, volume three should be quite enjoyable. I don't want to spoil anything, but it's some of GM's best stuff. And yeah, the art isn't the best, and the hideous 80s fashions don't help any.

Buddy does seem rather fond of his cutoff denim short-shorts.

Only totally. Buddy's got some nice legs.

Book 3: Well, that felt like a rough draft of part of the Invisibles, and Buddy was never trying to be "cool" like King Mob was desperate to be. Not as flashy but with more rawness.

I'm not sure how I feel about the last section, with Grant finally stepping in. I like that Buddy suddenly seems to realize/connect with the fact that Ellen was nearly raped in the woods, because up until that point he didn't seem to react to it at all.

Overman=Superboy-Prime.

This is most def the wrong thread to be posting this, but thematically there's some continuity and I thought Barbelith needed to be told.

Fred Bassett is totally breaking the fourth wall in today's strip in the Daily Mail. His paws are on the bottom of the panel and he's staring at us, a la "I can see you!"

Fred knows, man. Somebody - possibly his pal Jock - has slipped him peyote. He's discovered the nature of his reality. What now?

Now he tells Charlie Brown that Lucy will always take the ball away at the last minute and persuades Andy Capp to go to Alcoholics Anonymous.
