Ironically it was a designed to start a thread where people could post and corroborate errors.

Wow. I like it.

Are the threads being transferred slowly from the old look site? I had a thread in the Gathering that was kinda important. Will it be making a reappearance, or will I have to redo it?

It should turn up shortly...

I would like to report that the threads seem to be reordering themselves and the times change up.

Not a big problem for me but if unchecked could become a problem for you.

The threads moving/times changing come about
from people trying to post and the message not showing up.
Like this one just did.

Could the messages being lost be a word-wrap problem?
The first time I tried to post my above message, I let the word wrap
do its thing, wheras in this one and the one above, I pressed enter.

Nope, the word wrap wored on my above post.

It was just a theory, which went down the drain after attempting to
post something in the policy.

Now, if I type a message that goes all the way to the end of a line and then word wraps around, will it work?

try using a contraction.

you cannot.

i do not think.

Trijhaos

You are correct. Apostrophes can not be used, but commas can.

I do not see why apostrophes can not be use since they are simply commas in the air.

Without the apostrophe.

Darn, I posted, then clicked on moderate just to see what happened, and my post vanished. Darn it. And please, please can we have apostrophes? The pedant in me begs to have them back.

Started a thread in the Gathering for Flyboy in NYC. Thread stayed, post died. No apostrophes.

Im struggling towards some kind of theory here. Multiple apostrophes, as heterodox just proved, work fine. Single ones apparently dont. Theres obviously some kind of conflict there.

Could it be the SQL that the board uses? Im presuming that the board is effectively a huge database, so SQL would form the backbone. If not, then ignore the rest of this post. Does it think that we are trying to declare string variables or something similar when we use apostrophes?

Another thought. As pointed out elsewhere, theres a problem with the Search By Post function that doesnt pop up when searching by thread. Nobody seems to be having any problems with actually getting thread titles up, just the posts to go with them. Coincidence?

Damn this no apostrophes shit. Just spent ages trying to work out why I couldnt get this to work, just noticed that I left one in the very first word of the post.

Yee ha! I have achieved apostrophe!

You have to use HTML code. So whenever you want an apostrophe, you have to type " #039; "

It#039;s easy!

Persephone

Oops. That is, " ' "

How's that?
