re: Branching of threads. Not too keen but then I like it when they meander and come home again. The architecture on other message boards I've attempted frustrates the fuck out of me and Barbelith's I like, very much.
re: No personal editing of posts. I edit 99% of the time because of poor spelling or syntax. Making me proof read would also make me take the time to remember how easy it is to give vent to spleen in a post and then come to regret it.
That would stop me chewing myself up thereafter for having been a grumpy bugger in a post but it might mean everybody gets a bit too slick and polished, which might come at the cost of some emotional honesty.
But, of course, I could be wrong. Sadly, I often am.
