| I find Aqua incredibly moving and poignant. Van Halen are unquestionably the greatest rock band ever to grace the planet: criminally underrated critically, they influenced vast swathes of dumb assed and credible musicians. Marillion have written some of the most amazing songs ever: “No One Can, ” “Beautiful,” “The Release,” “Afraid of Sunlight,” “Sugar Mice,” “A Collection,” “The Bell in the Sea,” “Dry Land” (even though it was originally by How We Live - but no one I know has heard the original, and it was co-written by H in the first place). Queensryche were great, too! Haven’t heard their last album, though. “Mindcrime” rools (the album, not brainwashing). |
