I'm paying with my Visa Delta from the UK. I think you'd have problems with Switch or Electron, as those two can't handle international transactions AFAK.

Tom- can you accept this "smatcreds" thingy? You probably have to tell 'em first, or something (as far as I can tell they make their profit from US paying extra, so it shouldn't hurt the fund any)- saw it in the paper yesterday- www.smartcreds.co.uk- I'm gonna check it out at the end of the week when I get paid (also so I can buy stuff online etc.). As far as I can tell, you pre-pay at newsagents/post offices/etc that have the PayPoint thing for doing your gas bill/electricity keymeter/whatever, then it works like a debit card, up to whatever you've put on it.

Sorry... hate to be so awkward... but I don't have a debit card either... my credit rating is SOO bad I only have a savings account where you can put your card in a machine and get your money (I know, kind of shit for a 29-year old.)
If nothing else, though, I'll try and figure out a way of letting someone else pay you thru Paypal on their credit card with my money...
If it helps, I'm waiting for another credit card application to be processed real soon...

Or just mention why some Barbelithers have volunteered to subscribe. That is, mention some of the other options we discussed, like shutting the board down for a time every month, experiencing technical difficulties, and so forth.

We also may want to start a new thread, continuing this one, so that people who haven't been following this one won't feel they have to read 5 pages before making some kind of contribution to the discussion.
