That is just fantastic. I particularly like the way that there's clearly a bunch of recognisable students that will keep recurring - Emma's cuckoo girls, the skinny green plant guy, the big transparent pink guy, and - yes! - Beak! Out of his coma, bless the poor lad.
Couple of questions raised:
Since Angel is sitting on the front row and wearing the black, does that mean she's part of the teaching staff/X-Men proper? If so, why?
Bit of a spoiler, but I take it Xavier gets his own body back, then? Boo.
Where is Xorn? Does Quitely have some aversion to drawing him, or do we reckon he doesn't make it out of the big battle with Cassie alive?
(By the way, this is the cover to #126, the extra-sized conclusion to 'Imperial' (see here), but I reckon it also points the way for phase 2 of Grant's run on the comic, ie, far more focus on Xavier's as a school.) |
