I can see why they (DC) want to do it, and I can even imagine that in the right hands it might not even suck too too much, if they stick to Prequels only, like Herbert Jr. did with the Dune series.

Still a shame: It (the original) is such a nicely complete story...

If only he stuck with the prequels! He also wrote the final installment of the original Dune series (it was just as terrible as his prequels).

But I suppose no one should be surprised, really, that DC is trying to get some more cash out of the best selling book they've produced. Makes perfect sense from a financial perspective.

I don't know if I should say this, but there's a rumour going round.

What thoughts would the words 'Mark' 'Millar' and 'Watchmen 2' trigger, if they were in a sentence?

'Well, it can't happen,' you might think. 'That cannot happen.'

And in a way, you might be right. Mark Millar is on a roll in Hollywood at the moment, and so wouldn't be interested in directing a property unless he had a lot of input.

i suppose the stuff that GM is doing for DC in their earth charlon line might be closer to being watchment 2, or 0 though as he is using the characters and captain atom is looking more like dr manhatten everytime someone draws him.
