Yearn for Prismatic Age falconry. YEARN.

Spaniel
00:27 / 22.07.08
Don't we all.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
00:56 / 22.07.08
That's all I do, nowadays.

I really can't wait for A*S to end, just so I can write an article about the series for the Ones.

Triplets
01:19 / 22.07.08
Aye.

There is a spectrum of yearners. Superimposed we all shout "FALCON!"

Sorry about the slowness lately. Will have a new post up tomorrow or Wednesday.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy

%You can always go read fiction on my blog, while you're waiting.%

The Falcon's long awaited 'Prismatic Age' piece is up on Mindless Ones, and as Duncan is now not of this board I thought I should give you the heads up.

Yes I believe he's gone.
Can't think why.

Guys, I love Mindless Ones but you're in danger of late of becoming a blog about H&M underwear more than a blog about comics.

FinderWolf
21:28 / 07.08.08
Those are REAL underwear, not some photoshopped invention?! Yikes...

Spaniel
22:47 / 07.08.08
Cameron, no we're not. Pants week was beautiful but it's done.

We have other things up our sleeves.

Spaniel
10:18 / 08.08.08
Like lots of words on the Prismatic Age, and other stuff besides...

CameronStewart
22:34 / 08.08.08
I just hadn't been in a while and when I looked at it recently the entire page - the ENTIRE page - was write-ups and photos of superhero underpants. It made me wonder if it had been a slow week for you guys.

Hey, comics ain't just for kids y'know. They're also fucking pants.

Spaniel

That *was* a busy week. A post a day, in fact.

The thing is, we want to put stuff on the site that's only peripherally about comics. We want to explore the place of funnybooks in the world, and we want to mix up the kind of thing we put out. Pants were a fun way of doing that.

I for one lulzed lots

To be posted in the very near (spoilers...):

1. A post from Amy on the Perry Bible Fellowship (God I love the Perry Bible Fellowship)
2. A Rogue's Review from me. I've been fiddling with the fucker for the last two weeks.
3. An autobiographical post from Nuneaton Savage on French comics (is really excellent)

To be posted after the very near but not in the very far:

1. Comics almost killed...
2. Mindless Ones podcast week. To be recorded next weekend.

Aw, cheers, fella. Glad you liked. Now let's have one of those special Brighton internet hugs that everyone round here is so jealous of. The towel is wet, the table is set and I want some Brightonian Rugby Geek Lovin'.

But you live in London now. How can we huggle with you in London?

Through the magickal internets, you old softy! Extend your reptilian arms of lazer love! I am HOT FOR THEM.

I'm still curious when you're going to get around to sending me the questions for the first-ever exclusive scoop interview about Seaguy 2 I've promised to give to you. I feel like Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross:

"A guy don't walk on the lot lest he wants to buy. You think they came in to get out of the rain? They're sitting out there, waiting to give you their money. Are you gonna take it? Are you man enough to take it?"

So, you guys did that podcast?

Wanting to hear the discussion, but also curious to get a sense of lithers' voices. I imagine Boboss having Dark Knight's Batman's voice and Runce with a Hannibal Lector speech pattern etc.

We recorded the podcast on Saturday night. It was a highly unpolished affair, where much booze was consumed, and much ranting took place. Gary Lactus is currently trying his very hardest to edit the thing into something that could be broadly described as listenable.

I wish him lots of luck.

Had fun tho'

Interview Cameron! I wanna hear his thoughtstuff! Seaguy, Seaguy! If you guys don't, I will!

Oh, we will. Don't you worry.

In about a month

Amy's just put up a post about the Perry Bible Fellowship. If you don't know what the PFB is or if you like me ignored it, I strongly suggest you check out Amy's "wayward musings". PFB is now my new favourite thing in the world ever.

Also, today is the beginning of podcast week.

I'm not exactly proud of our drunken efforts, but we had fun, and Lactus did a heroic post job.

Fifty-eight seconds in and it's already my fave thing of today. One thing though, and it may be because you're all southerners, you all sound alike!

I read your blog more than I read this forum.
FACT.
I have nothing of any real value to add here at this time.
FACT.
I think Mindless Ones will outlive us all.
FACT?

You're all too kind. In a way, Convo, I'm pleased that you can't pick out our individual voices as I sound, consistently, like a complete arsehole.

Looking forward to making amends during the Halloween recording. We're gonna get a little bit more ambitious with the play acting and the sound fx the second time around. We'll also try to stay considerably more sober, at least I will.

Yep, there'll be more structure and more space travel. Just wait 'til you hear what goes on in The Beast Must Die's House of Haunted Horror!

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
17:48 / 09.12.08
That reminds me, because of you people I keep debating the option of buying the Perry Bible Fellowship book. Maybe I'll skip out on regular comics altogether this week and buy Colonel Sweeto instead. I mean, does Captain Britain really need my dollar? I've just bought an short fiction anthology with a Cornell story in it, so it's not like he's begging me to...
