The Falcon's long awaited 'Prismatic Age' piece is up on Mindless Ones, and as Duncan is now not of this board I thought I should give you the heads up.
I just hadn't been in a while and when I looked at it recently the entire page - the ENTIRE page - was write-ups and photos of superhero underpants. It made me wonder if it had been a slow week for you guys.
The thing is, we want to put stuff on the site that's only peripherally about comics. We want to explore the place of funnybooks in the world, and we want to mix up the kind of thing we put out. Pants were a fun way of doing that.
I for one lulzed lots
To be posted in the very near (spoilers...):
1. A post from Amy on the Perry Bible Fellowship (God I love the Perry Bible Fellowship)
2. A Rogue's Review from me. I've been fiddling with the fucker for the last two weeks.
3. An autobiographical post from Nuneaton Savage on French comics (is really excellent)
To be posted after the very near but not in the very far:
1. Comics almost killed...
2. Mindless Ones podcast week. To be recorded next weekend.
Aw, cheers, fella. Glad you liked. Now let's have one of those special Brighton internet hugs that everyone round here is so jealous of. The towel is wet, the table is set and I want some Brightonian Rugby Geek Lovin'.
I'm still curious when you're going to get around to sending me the questions for the first-ever exclusive scoop interview about Seaguy 2 I've promised to give to you. I feel like Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross:
"A guy don't walk on the lot lest he wants to buy. You think they came in to get out of the rain? They're sitting out there, waiting to give you their money. Are you gonna take it? Are you man enough to take it?"
Wanting to hear the discussion, but also curious to get a sense of lithers' voices. I imagine Boboss having Dark Knight's Batman's voice and Runce with a Hannibal Lector speech pattern etc.
We recorded the podcast on Saturday night. It was a highly unpolished affair, where much booze was consumed, and much ranting took place. Gary Lactus is currently trying his very hardest to edit the thing into something that could be broadly described as listenable.
