The Impoverished Llama

RTD will be juggling more than Victorian London and Cybermen this Christmas. The title was released on the BBC press office website earlier today. It's pretty spoiler-ish, so beware.

Read the synopis for this (was in the papers here last week). You can immediatly see a RTD script from a few pages , im hoping its not a portent as the title suggest of things to come

the Doctor
10:27 / 04.10.08
It just struck me: was it even revealed that Eccleston's Doctor was the Ninth one (and Tennant the Tenth)?
What if he was the Tenth? or the Eleventh?

We could have missed one, two, many Doctors!

Evil Scientist
13:47 / 04.10.08
They've never really addressed it in the show but RTD said that's the case, and who are we to argue?

Although isn't he technically the 11th Doctor now anyway? He did regenerate after all.

Going by the current RTD hoo-ha, it would seem---however stupid---Donna might've been an 11th Doctor.

But she wasn't.

23:41 / 29.10.08
But they're certainly going to need a new Doctor soon: Tennant to quit in 2010

I am honestly wiping away tears. I will enjoy every overly-chatty moment until you depart, Tennant.

Ah tis a sad day , however as a such a fine actor we're not really going to lose out (and im sure a special with the most recent say 4 doctors might be intresting )

Let the speculation begin !!

It's about time he moved over for Tilda Swinton.

I for one embrace the inevitability of our new James Nesbitt shaped time lord.

Mist van der Rohe
14:59 / 30.10.08
Or how about Clive Owen or Richard Paul Astley?

Rich Johnston of Lying in the Gutters fame is hyping Patterson Joseph. To be honest it's the first name i've heard in connection with Doc 11 that i've thought would be good in the role (please god not Nesbitt, please). I even went back and watched chunks of the awful Neverwhere on youtube and his performance as the Marquis points to an excellent possible Doctor.

Whatever i hope they're bold in their casting, a Pat Troughton to Jon Pertwee step change.

also Neverwhere wasn't nearly as bad as i thought, though to be fair i was drinking wine on top of antibiotics and in a generally forgiving mood.

Patterson Joseph

That would rock quite hard actually.

Assuming Statham is busy filming another kick-splode film.

Another favourite is apparently Sean Pertwee which, despite the vast majority of his films, doesn't fill me with dread.

Having said that, Patterson Joseph would be my choice and, knowing what RTD has been like for having references to the political issues de jour, I think the time is right to have a black Doctor.

I'd forgot about the Statham but his fists haven't forgotten about the Daleks.

Nooooo! (redux)

Actually, the thought of Moffet beginning with a fresh new slate is all the more tantalizing.

I actually quite like the idea that the new doctor could in fact be the next doctor...

I would prefer someone who hasn't been in any of the current seasons, actually.

Brian Cox is my vote.

Kali, that is the most brilliant idea I have ever heard all day long. I loved Cox on DEADWOOD. I am imagining Ian McShane as The Master. I can hear the psychic f-bombs flying...
