Because I'm on the side of the world where it happens first. Even though it's only 9pm on Vietnam, and the party hasn't even really started here, and it's just "Rivers Of Babylon" on repeat down in the hotel lobby while all the staff try to squeeze some dancing in between their 14 hour shifts.

I still have half-a-day's "work" (read: mind-numbing boredom) before I can even think about New Years celebration. Which will probably be fairly chill even with my friend returning for a visit from Japan for the next few days.

Actually, to be perfectly honest I'd love to spend New Year's Eve writing weird little page-long stories.

These days it seems to be England +1. It´s 00:35 here and the streets outside look like straight out of a Hammer Horror movie (because of the fog, not the vampires).
