I donīt plan anything special for the 25th and the 26th, as I donīt celebrate christmas. Since shops are closed on those days, I only worry slightly about my groceries lasting. The most important christmas day in Germany is today anyway. Most presents change hands this evening. On the consecutive days, people meet grandparents, aunts, etc. So in four and a half hours, the festive gloom is over.
In the last two years, I went to the movies on the 24th, because the festive noise of my neighbours was a bit depressing. But tonight, there is nothing showing except Beowulf, Enchanted and german comedies, and I wouldnīt rent these movies. So I may also watch a DVD. |
