I'm off work sick (and having a bad week in general, which I shan't bore you with here cos it's the Late Shift not the Miserable thread) and am drinking bloody marys with loads of tabasco while I watch House on DVD. I realise I should be in bed right now, but I'm still on night shift time and have been asleep most of the day.

Mind you, House is excellent.

Is House actually good? I see the ads all the time and worry that it's terrible, though I think Hugh Laurie can be a good actor. Obviously you like it, but what is it about it that you like?

My week's been very up and down, and altogether frustrating even if not as sad and horrible as things have been with you -- all I want to be right now is an escape artist.

Ah, cheers, guys.

House is great- people have been telling me to watch it for years, then I finally saw an episode round at Hellbunny's place the other week and it was awesome.

Partly it's the novelty of seeing Hugh Laurie as an American misanthrope, but mostly it's because he's such a great character. And the episodes are structured like old-fashioned whodunnits, which is fun too.

Anyway, off to watch another episode. Maybe back later.
