| Well, the history and mechanics of the joke are interesting. I could have done without the Onion Staff brainstorming session. It was lame, and it was pretty obvious that the staffers were all hung up on the "shock value" aspect of the joke and thus missed the entire point, which was the skillfulness (or lack thereof) of the delivery. They didn't do anything but waste valuable time that could have been devoted to the comics. |
