Also, Morgan Spurlock might well have interviewed Osama Bin Ladin!!!?222333!!

From MSNBC
Did Morgan Spurlock find Osama bin Laden?

15 minutes of footage shown at film fest sparks bidding war, speculation

Rumors are flying that filmmaker Morgan Spurlock of "Super Size Me" fame may have done what the United States government has failed to do for the last six years — find Osama bin Laden.

The speculation first began at the Berlin International Film Festival in February, where Spurlock showed a select group of potential buyers 15 minutes of footage from his new documentary, "Where in the World Is Osama bin Laden?" The film follows Spurlock through the Middle East in his search for the elusive leader of al-Qaida. According to Slashfilm.com, The Weinstein Co. quickly snapped up the picture after seeing the clips.

Adding to the belief, Daniel Marracino, the film's director of photography, is quoted in Variety, saying of the movie, "We've definitely got the Holy Grail."

Whether this is just a genius publicity ploy or if Spurlock actually found bin Laden has yet to be revealed, but the answer should come next year, when the documentary is slated to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

I saw that yesterday. Strange.

Ganesh would love this. How wasps turn roaches into zombies. And eat them from the inside.

I don't know if that's more impressive than the protozoan Toxoplama gondii, that causes rats to be attracted to cat urine, which makes it easier for them to be ingested by cats, in whose gut they can complete their life cycle.

I wonder how entertaining it would be watching someone try. Give'em a rolled up newspaper and a little bag of treats, then hang back and try not to laugh or root for the crab out loud.

It was doubted for a long time that the coconut crab could open coconuts, and in experiments, some have starved to death surrounded by coconuts

Those scientists are bastards. I bet they got bullied at school.

Just rechecking the wiki, and is says they *are* sold as pets.

But it also says that they are strong enough to destroy some cages, which is more than most hamsters.

They frighten and excite me in equal measure.

I found myself checking where they live in an attempt to go paint them on site... then realised that was a stupid plan. Saving of pictures as reference material ensued.

But yes... creepy and beautiful in one package...

I realize that crabs are crustaceans and spiders arachnids but I got this creepy image of a giant spidah hanging off the garbage can and it was less fun than the crab. It was in fact hellya scary.

Oh I know that much, since it was posted on the board I'd reckon there'd be the same level of assumed familiarity as say, The Chronicles of Steve or the fact that we're Not A Grant Morrison Fan Site.

I was just wondering what the dealio with the aquarium was...

I think they have a spider crab exhibit at the Giorgia Aquarium, which Kali strongly dislikes.

Though Matt would probably know more about that than me, as I've never been to the Giorgia Aquarium.

The spidah crab was supa scary until the wiki stated it was a big gentle beastie. Then I was all like 'awww a big ugly freaky crab fwend!' I think I'd want to name a pair Isadora and Clyde and set them up with fancy dress parties in their aquaria. We'd invite giant scorpions and other moderately huge crabs over for salon evenings, which of course would become the talk of the town.
