My neighbour is Berica, who has two villages (one at 448 and one at 269) and who farms me religiously; it's even happened twice today. Each time ze turns up with a lot of troops, and each time ze gets nothing. Granted, I'm expecting catapults after a while, but still...

I'm working towards settles very, very slowly, and once I have them I plan to find an uninhabited part of the map far away from anyone and set up my own Deadwood style community; fellow lithers are welcome to join...

Well I've been working on my armies, got 55 or so troops now.

Within my 9x9, there's no real problems; no one has scouted or attacked me for a while, and all the bigger (200 pop +) people are in pretty major alliances. Everyone else is fair game, although until now I've refrained from hitting anyone who's guilded.

Until now. The local guild is called *MAF*, a mafia-themed guild, with all the trimmings (a list of rules about not 'hitting' made guys, etc.). The local guys (9x9) have all stopped growing at less than 100 pop, so I've started moving in. We'll see what happens next.

you have to be okayed by the alliance to send [ally] messages. The game won't delete accounts, they just go into the red and end up being farms.

How is everyone getting along on the Speed server?

I've just got a lvl 3 Embassy, but I'm confident that I'm far to incompetent to run an alliance, if I'm the only Barbelith person at this stage on the server could I create an alliance and then pass control of it over to someone else? If my only responsibilty was to keep the Embassy leveled up and someone else did the coralling/organising/planning that'd be peachy keen.

Any idea how banning works? Ibrox, who seems to be the only big, bad, belligerent (and potential bigot) in the neighbourhood is currently sitting there doing nothing as he's been banned. Any idea how long a banning is in effect for?
Just wondering as I'm getting nearer to building settlers and he's claimed dibs on two nice valleys in the area.

I think it depends on the severity of the violation. If you break the friendly fire rule (attacking your allies) it's a temporary ban, but something like having multiple accounts can be permanent. I'd say keep another location in mind, but if he's still banned when you're ready to settle then go ahead and take those spots.

Just a quick status update. Things are going good in Triplix III. However, I've recently acquired quite a well-armed next-door neighbour who's been farming me, Matrix-like, continually for the last couple of days. Feeding me my own dead. But!, I've reached a point where I can now start supporting the Triplix Civil Defence Force and am working on my second cranny (fnar, etc). I'm going to make it totally not worth his while.

Oh, and the TCDF is apparently being bolstered by suedejesus' troops. Did you know I was being farmed, dude?

Yeah, I noticed the battle stats and figured you wouldn't mind having the dead praetorians replaced. Plus I've still not been attacked, so thought it would be churlish not to help.
The guy probably wants to run a protection racket or something which, if you're looking to expand might be a way out - 200, 300 of each resource a day?

In one of my villages, I accidentally built the Trapper right next to the Residence instead of one space away. This was upsetting, because you want to have the prisoners close by for taunting purposes but not close enough that you have to smell them all the time. I seriously considered demolishing the building and rebuilding it in the correct spot.

I worry that I may be taking the game a little too seriously.

Are any of you on Server 4 with a respectable/firendly alliance that is open for members? I feel a bit silly joining any old aliance cold just for the sake of it.

Guys, I'm going to need some big help. Perooc attacked me this morning as one might attack Helm's Deep, sending 315 macemen, 80 axemen and 40 paladins. I feel he might be over-egging it. Just a tad.

Luckily I'm double crannied so after killing about 28 of his dudes in return he only walked away with about 300 Wood and Wheat.

Currently upgrading my newest cranny to level 10 and building the TCDF back up but any help or major reinforcement would be appreciated.

I have hit player rank 299. Success! I have also lost 2/3rds of my army fighting bears. Loss.

I have to rebuild my horde of horses before I can do anything else.

Perooc has been bothersome to several BBC members. I would personally like to see him knocked down a peg, or 2.

Same with Cannibal. His villages DIS & Pit have been relentless with their attack on Tricksoplios despite 2 lvl 10 Crannies. His rational; he doesn't want an enemy army right next door. However considering the rank of his alliance I doubt we'd want to drag them into a war alongside LoM.

For the moment a few neighbors have lent reinforcements. I doubt I'd be able to generate much of an offensive force but will be happy to finance some Macemen, Axemen, Cavalry and or catapults to be directed at either of these two.

Finally got a second village up and running, so hopefully my population will stop looking as stagnant as it has the last few days and I'll be able to contribute a little more. Hell, I've added more villagers in the past ten minutes than in the last three days...
