@ Tsuga

I was just hoping someone'd have a finer notion of this than mine, which probably comes down to unhealthy exoticising of non-Judeo-Christian (white, European, Judeo-Christian, I should have specified) religious traditions. But I get your point about it being an excessively judgemental way of putting it, and I get that this isn't a thinking thread; sorry.

Jesus, I don't think that's anything to be sorry for.

Isn't that the name of a song by Madonna?

I never quite understood the song "Jesus is just alright" by the Doobie Brothers.
Jesus.
"Is he great?"
"Nah, he's just alright."

"What did God give us, Neil?"

This song by Half man, Half biscuit doesn't seem very subversive until you realise that their name is actually an affornt to Xtian Mythology (because it's a mythology isn't it?) - Man is is God's image innit?! !!

God in the image of a biscuit?!?!!

Take that organised Lie (oh, sorry, i maent to say 'Religion, but it came out as 'Lie'?!?!! )

Hey guys, I'm trying to remember this great song I heard once which would be perfect for this thread. Can't remember all the lyrics but it went something like "I believe in the family, with my something-something wife beside me," and then it turns out the Xtian in the song has a GIRLFRIEND and he also MET A MAN LAST NIGHT (not that I am homophobic unlike Xtians). Anyone know the band/song?
