The first, I mean. The 'friendship role' doesn't bug me. Actually, it probably should somewhere along the line, but I just can't feel that one right. More than friends has always struck me as a wee bit suspicious, in my judgmental moments.

It's the defaulting that bugs. Second in line, as it were. Which, when relationships of all sorts are involved in the consideration, is indeed kinda petty of me. But, so it's petty.
