Whoa! Chocolate chip cookie induced coma!

Oh dear gawd these are good.

Well, I think I am going to make myself go out and get cookies!

And dinner to go with. (Ye olde salmon was old and bad.)

Just how much and how recently have you been reading Andrews Liger?

I've read Flowers in the Attic and three of the sequels, as well as a particularly nasty peice of work entitled My Sweet Audrina.

This was all about twenty years ago but the scars run deep.

I made Pad Thai this evening, but I used pine nuts instead of peanuts and some leftover tilapia. Wow, can I ever cook! I don't bake much though, but these choco-chips are truly knocking me out. I am a bit cross-eyed. Holy headrush!

can I ever cook

I can confirm your cuillinairy(sp?) skill! Mmmm fond mealtime memories.

Mmmm, pad thai. *drools*

Hey, did you make chocolate chip cookies too?

Holy synchronicity Batman!

Liger, Liger Long time no chit chat! Andrews' Flowers in the Attic was so popular in my middle school...or junior high in US.

Me too, I think that's why our generation grew up twisted and warped.

Holy synchronicity Batman!

Yeah, weird eh?

Veng: I thank you very much. I shall send you some of my chocolate crack cookies. I mean CHIP, yeah, chip....

Actually, they call it middle school here too. At least they did in St. Louis.

Papess
03:55 / 19.11.07
Oh, I did not know that. MIddle school it is, then.

I never read any Andrews, but I did read a lot of reports on Child Abuse from the adult section of the public library. It was for class speeches. I had a great speech, unfortunately, I stut-tut-te-erd.

I'm more of a stammerer myself. My stepmom once told me I talked like Jimmy Stewart. I didn't tell her about the giant invisible rabbit.

V.C. Andrews was the one with all the paperbacks with the bas relief titles and sometimes the cutout covers, usually with a spooky-looking child with murderess eyes or that ilk?

That was oddly worded, but yes, that was a question.

Keggers From The Crypt
04:03 / 19.11.07
That is correct.

Deculture Decedent

I got a cookie! Big one. Choc chip.

And a gigantic burrito full of chicken, vegetable matter, and spices.

And gin.

And now I am returned. Woo!

Tortellini with strawberry frozen yogurt for afters! How's the lateshift crew doing? I'm hanging out in the dark because all the bulbs are burnt out and I have one lamp still working. Tomorrow's another day.

Keggers From The Crypt

I ordered a 1/4 chicken and it came with a chocolatechip cookie. Quelle surprise!

So I tease you with cookies and you come back and gloat about your burritos.

How very mature.

I'm hoping tomorrow will have more day than today did. This one seemed to be really short and awkwardly put together.

It's the time of the season. After solstice everything will be put to rights.

dammit, lateshift is bad for my butt

Deculture Decedent
04:37 / 19.11.07
Oh, lateshifts are good for you. And yer butt. And yer alcohol consumption.

I'm pretty sure a random polling of shifters could prove this true.

One vote for goodbutt

The shift is very dynamic tonight--whenever I post, I come back and suddenly the shift has sprouted fresh legs! I feel as though the river is getting faster and faster...

I can't see anything in the sky that isn't orangish or purplish, but that's 'cause I'm right on th edge of Beverly Hills these days and we have the gift of smog.

Keggers From The Crypt
04:49 / 19.11.07
yes.yes.. Soon it will hit critical velocity. Just as the comet passes overhead and then all the antient prophecies will come to fruition and..oh. Im not using my inside voice am I? Ignore everything I said.

Oh, Papers, before I forget that I was interested: why birth the Andrews line of conversation, earlier? You ducked out quite quick, as I recall, but there isn't a new major work or film deal or something in the news, I'm assuming, so why now?

I thought you California folk have all those fancy environmental laws that are supposed to fix that?

Deculture Decedent

It's better than it was in the eighties, I can vouch for that, but it's pretty crap right in the LA area, especially.

Oh, Papers, before I forget that I was interested: why birth the Andrews line of conversation, earlier?

Yes, Papers, why dredge up my traumatic childhood memories of erotic tension and purple prose?

I was running around the library looking for a copy of "Olivia," by V.C. Andrews (whichever version) because someone at another branch had requested it. The copy was, sadly, AWOL.

Deculture Decedent
05:07 / 19.11.07
Ah. Well, that's simple enough.
