22:53 / 06.11.07
Monk, we happen to own a miniature version of that guy.

For a moment there I thought you were refering to the guy in the dead muppets coat. Which would be cool, but a bit creepy.

Plus, regarding the Megalodon, wouldn't being supposedly extinct be a bit of a setback in one's winning record?

23:04 / 06.11.07
Death is the ultimate test of a true winner.

Megalodon passed that test.

Glenn, we happen to own a miniature version of that guy. 'It's only a mouse, dear!' 'But we're minpins - it's a lion to us!' ARRRRRGH!

Today I've already had weetabix with whisky instead of milk.

The best a man can get

"When the race is run

Goddamn they knew how to win in the 80s.

Men. Winning. Forever

lord nuneaton savage
12:03 / 07.11.07
Following the viewing of the Gillette advert I have decided to pack in my dandyfied bohemian ways.

No more wearing of foppish scarves.

No more scribbling in my own blood in dark hovels.

No more opiated ramblings on toilet paper.

Stand back world. Savage is going to JOIN THE GAME AND WIN!!!

Boboss
12:13 / 07.11.07
The question is, can this guy stop winning?

The answer is no.

No he can't.

The best thing about this is the real winners are those lucky readers whose lives have been sprinkled with the faerie dust of Neil's work.

According to IMDB, every actor in that advert was named Winston.

19:15 / 07.11.07
That Gilette ad, so so good... well it start of good loses some cheese towards the end. Anyone posting more like that automatically becomes a Winner.

Stoatie. Stoatie? STOATIE.
(prev. Stoatie's power level is >9000)
19:55 / 07.11.07
I'VE SEEN THAT! That guy is a fucking WINNER, and no mistake.

(The Gillette advert- am I wrong in thinking that a cover of that song by Hank Williams III would be SO wrong it would go all the way THROUGH wrong and come out the other end, blinking in the stark lightness of being THE RIGHTEST THING EVER???)

Glenn Close But No Cigar
19:59 / 07.11.07
Best win ever was Norway's 2-1 victory over England in the 1982 football world cup qualifiers, if only because of Bjorge Lillelien's amazing commentary

Sound quality of the link is a bit rubbish, so here's a transcript:

"We are best in the world! We are best in the world! We have beaten England 2-1 in football!! It is completely unbelievable! We have beaten England! England, birthplace of giants. Lord Nelson, Lord Beaverbrook, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Anthony Eden, Clement Attlee, Henry Cooper, Lady Diana--we have beaten them all. We have beaten them all. Maggie Thatcher can you hear me?

Maggie Thatcher, I have a message to you during your election campaign. I have a message to you: We have knocked England out of the World Cup of football. Maggie Thatcher, as they say in your language in boxing bars around Madison Square Garden in New York: Your boys took a hell of a beating! Your boys took a hell of a beating!"

I want to hear a duet between the Gillette guy and the Bodyform woman.

Produced by Jim Steinman.

Now THAT would be entirely, one hundred percent, made out of the finest WIN known to humanity.

Phex: Dorset Doom

Quantum, that picture of a baby weilding a razor is not made of WIN, but FEAR.

22:25 / 07.11.07
I have met the Bodyform woman and she is surprisingly normal.

I'm finding it quite difficult to figure out the winnerism of this thread. Is this man a winner?

Nationally he is a winner, internationally maybe less so...

Boboss
23:25 / 07.11.07
Not a winner.

To be a winner you have to be the best.

Quantum of Solace
23:29 / 07.11.07
Like Reacher, or Logan?

DRR... DRR... DRR...
(prev. Mordant)
23:33 / 07.11.07
Re. Gillette baby: I did that when I was 4, with my dad's razor. Went to playschool for the next couple of days with a plaster on my chin which I insisted on referring to as my "beard."

What do I win?
