I did not realize how intellectual Avril Lavigne is. I think her punk attitude and her misspelling of the title is a way of rebelling against the societal pressure to conform to certain norms. She is changing these norms by pointing out that such things that we thought were obvious are really not.

Mmmmm I have not had wine in a while. Here in the US it is too expensive for my budget (Olde English is the beverage of champions). When I was in France this summer, however, I drank wine all the time and it was so good.

I've shut down the second draft for the evening, knowing full-well that I probably won't get a phone call to go in to work tomorrow so I can do some more tapping and typing when I wake up and roll -- roll, I say -- out of bed. Onto the floor. In my underwear. Sleep-starved and still dream-processing. But I can start writing right away.

When my hard drive died and took all my writing with it, I figured I'd just give up. I had most of a trashy fantasy novel in there, along with bits of my more serious work, and rewriting that seemed like too much. But fuck it, if I'm a writer then I'm a writer and if I'm not then I'm not.
