What I find most troubling about this whole sordid mess is that the google ad for this thread is:

"Hot Trend For Christians
Do Your Part For Jesus – Help Build the World's Largest Cross! "

I mean, I know Matt/Matthew is biblical-like, but is Matt also a hot trend for Christians as well as Barbelith? And do all Matts really want to help build the world's largest cross? And if so, why?

It reminds me of those chick tracts, where the post-raptural depictions of Jesus always seem to be as a somewhat massive figure. Perhaps the builders* are planning to pull some gullivers' travels shit to prevent the apolcalypse?

Hmmm I sort of regret not doing the matt thing now...

* www.nazarethcross.com says the cross is to be 60m tall with a church built at the intersection (15 storeys up). What they don't say is that the building is obviously top heavy and Nazareth is on an intersection between the eurasian and arabian plates.
