No - I think you don't put an apostrophe in if there's more than one person being named. So in this case there are "Too many Matts". As in "Too many cats". There would be an apostrophe in there if there was one Matt and something belonged to him, such as "I have been killing antsin Maat's bathroom."

If that apostrophe can be grammatically justified, I´d really like to read about it. These things always make me cringe, I can´t help it. I already spotted a loose on Barbelith today, where there should have been a lose instead.

For me, it's extremely bewildering. How so? Here:

I work with a friend of mine named Matt; we've been mates for about five or six years now.

He's engaged to his super swell boyfriend, also named Matt.

There's two.

Now I'm engaged to a super swell guy also named Matt.

Ouch.

When my Matt comes to visit and we hang out with the other Matts, I refer to everyone by their last name as saying things like, "Matt, Matt has to tell this story about this movie he saw with Matt," sounds confusing.
