Barbelith rocks!

I am particualrly happy with the Creation forum. I think it's underoing a sort of Renaissance, albeit quite a slow Renaissance... The Aching to be an Artist thread is high quality fun.

I like the fact that there are all cool and interesting people interested in talking about all the cool and interesting stuff that I like to talk about all in the same place.

Aye, it is nice when it gets going. I still think it should be changed to flashing fluorescent pink and green instead of grey.

Pink and green would be nice. But fluorescent? Eur.

Shell Pink and Racing Green, please. Classical.

Sibelian is quite right, Barbelith rocks.

I barbadore the people, and the quality of discussion the people often provoke.

Denfeld threads make me happy.

I barbadore having time to trawl through the threads here right now and set every one of you on the path to righteousness....heh.

I have been trying to have a blog and I don't find it at all to my liking, and I've been thinking about why. I am a singer, but I've always enjoyed being part of an ensemble much more than being a soloist, which is generally an alienating experience for me.

So I'm sticking with the barbechoir.

Glad to hear it

Decadent Daytripper in Love

Even at its worst, I'd still rather visit this board than anywhere similar. Sometimes critical, sometimes harshly so, and filled at times with angst and exhaustion, it's still overflowing with useful, intelligent conversation on even the most trivial subjects, a healthy pettiness whenever it doesn't matter, and not a day goes by without at least three beautiful turns of phrase being posted.

Smith & Papers

18:15 / 12.07.07
I like that I skipped over to Barbelith this morning to stoke some comics threads and maybe start one or two based on the week's awesome haul (it's good to feel inspired!), only to find a nice, sharp-witted debate thread going on and some genuine activity.

Rail Transfer
17:59 / 18.07.07
Having finally been able to read it, I Barbadore the Heroes Season 1 (US/Torrents) thread and everyone who contributed to it, making it for the most part an exemplary blow-by-blow discussion of a TV show - witty, enthused, with an acceptable level of snark, intolerant of laziness or boredom without being cynical, and usually bang on the money in speculative terms.

As a rule, I barbadore that the Lateshifts have slowly become drunken food fetishist brain trusts.

Shiny: The Countdown to Thirty
08:46 / 05.09.07
I barbadore the Invisible CHaus Majickian suit! It's always good to start the day unexpectedly pissing onself laughing whilst checking the board.

I know I should be able to take this for granted, but the fact that Barbelith is still a place where drugging household pets is, to say the least, frowned on, gives me a nice warm feeling.

Good for you they debunked that contact high myth then?

Meanwhile, flying in the face of the idea that Barbelith is dyyying, long-absent posters are coming back - and talking about my favourite TV show. I'm weirdly proud.

The Kris Marshall thread is proper loveable Conversation fluff, and is a delight to read.

If perhaps a tad Brit-centric.

I adore that one thousand and one policy threads, and a million asides in other threads, have just died lonely, sad, unmourned deaths because new functionality has been introduced. Moderators can ban users. The board can be opened. And we'll see what happens next.
