Venger, I was being paid to read poetry there. To other people. They gave me nice plane tickets and fancy hotels with a fridge and mini bar and everything. And wonderful ruins and fancy sites and goings on. Of these, I have only the fridge at home.

Oven reads 57 seconds until pizza! I love fridges of all sizes and makes, but rarely have any of them given me anything hot. Unless you count rubbing against the backside under the wrong circumstances.

Papers, my eyes flew straight over that post from 'fly' to 'underpantaloons' to 'Superman today!' and then filled in the rest. I kinda like the glean of that first glance better. I want to live in the world where grown adult people strip down and play Superman in a library, rather than the one where I forget to go pick up the new ASS issue.

Do you look the part enough? Closest I get is people who've known me for years not recognizing a photo of me without my glasses on. Not that I'm not now motivated to pick shirts based on the potency of recognizing my deep inner geek (as opposed to the shallow outer one) and making small children gasp.

Damn I have not had sushi in a while. It is a bit out of my price range usually. I know of this great sushi restaurant that is pretty cheap but it is in Washington DC. That is not around the block for me at this point.

There are some really good ones in Victoria. Some are cheaper than others. I don't think I'd be able to function without it, at this point.

I asked someone if there was anywhere to get decent sushi here, since it's the largest town/city in the area. They laughed at me and pointed out even the grocery stores don't carry it.

I miss being able to jump into LA with relative ease.

On the other hand, frozen pizzas are incredibly cheap up here.
