Tory's YouTube account has been suspended.

Please help join the flood of complaints. ToryMagoo44 was the name of the account. Also worth pointing out that the troll ToryMagoo69, who has stolen a bunch of her videos and been posting shit which really DOES violate the T&Cs, is still on YT.

(If the thread's tl;dr, Glosslip's got the "cut to the chase" version).

She's back up.

Just, you know, in case you were thinking of doing something today.

The more I think about the Beghe thing, the more it interests me - because he's not high profile out here, but is high profile in the CoS Celebrity Center.

By the way, there were reports that Kirstie Alley was sighted at Clearwater on 12 Apr, telling protesters they should "try it."

She's back, but WBM's down.

This is gonna look bad for YouTube, since a lot of the stuff in the international media about the Jason Beghe video is pointing to WBM's channel, and if the video's not there... Hopefully he'll be back up soon.

Hahaha. Oh wow.

War makes for strange bedfellows.

Fox News weighs in on the YouTube/WBM affair (you have to scroll down a bit). In the spirit of that noble outlet, I would like to reiterate previous advice to all Anons out there to buy a dog and maybe some new curtains.

Been loads of coverage in Norwegian papers of late - court cases etc. One sad case involves a young Norwegian girl, daughter of a MP, who committed suicide in Nice, France, three hours after taking a personality test at a local $cientology centre.

Hate to admit being so ignorantly judgemental, but all I know about Scientology I learned from Russell Miller's "Bare Faced Messiah" which I picked up in the mid-ninetys, and "Sex & Rockets" by John Carter. Both stories back each other up. I've also glanced at Dianetics and read a few things online.
From what I've read, Hubbard was a flim-flam man. Smart but sleazy. Kind of a really low-rent A.S. LeVay. All style, minimal substance.
But... Some of his "teachings" are quasi-valid, I believe, albeit thinly veiled psycho-analytical rip-offs. Scientologists would be harmless, helpfull even, if they would take a "do as thou wilt" attitude, and stop proselytizing...
Has anyone here been "Fair Game" to them?

Which teachings do you think are quasi-valid? Are there any you have any personal experience of? Did you try actual tech, or analogous practices?

I tried the practice of "editing", albeit self administered.

Also, in the begining of Dianetics when he describes engrams, he advises to immediately look up any word you don't understand lest it create an "engram" and cripple your understanding of the whole experience of the book. I think that it's a good practice.

He has several little tips and tricks for self improvement. Easy to throw out the baby with the bathwater though when you take into account his tendency to be a control-freak meglomaniac sex addict. But I digress.

As for the "editing", I believe the theory is pretty solid, but I think is best achieved introspectively rather than in front of someone, however cathartic that may be... Searching through your memories and confronting all the negative is very beneficial.

Maybe I'm just not trusting enough to do it with a stranger...

Wow. I'm only three segments into the eight, but this Beghe interview is fucking dynamite. I'm starting to understand why they REALLY didn't want this getting out. And it helps that he's very likeable and articulate, as well. Man, this shit rocks.

FUCKING WATCH THE JASON BEGHE INTERVIEW. SRSLY.

Apart from anything else, it's bloody good on how cult brainwashing works.

Co$ specifically, it's pretty fucking eye-opening too.

He also makes the FUCKING good point that if the aim of Co$ is to Clear the planet (or 75% thereof), and if Clearing really costs that much money per person, then there just isn't that much money in the world...

If we can't fuck 'em on morality, then maybe we'll fuck 'em on arithmetic.

SRSLY U GUISE. There's a LOT of this interview. But it's fucking worth every minute.

AND he has some fucking awesome dogs who keep running about and playing in the background.

Almost forgot to mention that I was wandering around Glasgow (near Forbidden Planet) at the weekend and found a bunch of people giving free "Stress Tests". Interestingly, the entire stock of Forbidden Planet's V masks had been bought up by the half dozen young men loitering with amused intent behind the earnest young scientologists... sorry, earnest young stress analysts.

Yeah, it's worth watching all of it. That guy is PISSED OFF. Fuckfuckfuck, though, they fucked us with the Xenutv1 thing, and the iron cooled and the media backed off from striking it. They won that one. But fuck, it's AWESOME. People HAVE to see that. It's not getting the coverage it would have a week ago, but fuck, it's out there and people can see it. SEND THE LINK to anyone you think might be interested.

(Though I have to agree with someone on Enturb who posted about how disappointed they were that Fox fucking Mulder didn't already know this was bad shit!)

And, fucking hell, those are GORGEOUS dogs.

Amusingly enough, I met another Anon (who I'd been chatting to at the pub after the last raid, having had a few beers and forgetting to be Anonymous) last night at the Boris gig.

He was all like "oh, I'm really sorry, I can't remember what you said your name was!"

The obvious response: "Don't worry, mate, I was lying anyway".

Oh, and Arnie Lerma again provides a link-festival on Scientology hypnotic techniques, including a great peek at mind control from Alice in Wonderland:

The Alice in Wonderland confusion technique is found in this counterintelligence interrogation manual written in 1963:

Alice in Wonderland

The aim of the Alice in Wonderland or confusion technique is to confound the expectations and conditioned reactions of the interrogatee. He is accustomed to a world that makes some sense, at least to him: a world of continuity and logic, a predictable world. He clings to this world to reinforce his identity and powers of resistance.

The confusion technique is designed not only to obliterate the familiar but to replace it with the weird. Although this method can be employed by a single interrogator, it is better adapted to use by two or three. When the subject enters the room, the first interrogator asks a doubletalk question -- one which seems straightforward but is essentially nonsensical. Whether the interrogatee tries to answer or not, the second interrogator follows up (interrupting any attempted response) with a wholly unrelated and equally illogical query. Sometimes two or more questions are asked simultaneously. Pitch, tone, and volume of the interrogators' voices are unrelated to the import of the questions. No pattern of questions and answers is permitted to develop, nor do the questions themselves relate logically to each other. In this strange atmosphere the subject finds that the pattern of speech and thought which he has learned to consider normal have been replaced by an eerie meaninglessness. The interrogatee may start laughing or refuse to take the situation seriously. But as the process continues, day after day if necessary, the subject begins to try to make sense of the situation, which becomes mentally intolerable. Now he is likely to make significant admissions, or even to pour out his story, just to stop the flow of babble which assails him. This technique may be especially effective with the orderly, obstinate type.
