| They probably did something with the tender sex scene between Bastian and Atreyu on Artax's back while galloping through Manhattan at the end of the film. I don't know what that was like in the book. Better, probably, or at least more believable. Other than that I think things must not have strayed too much, right? The book still had the frame story spun by the Spider Lust Queen in the cave as she told the legend of Bastian to her broodlings, I assume, because the final battle of the Spider Warriors vs. the Robot Hordes would make no sense without it. |
