I WAS SO DRUNK THAT:

Afterwards, we were outside near the old Factory Records building. We got talking to Crystal Castles and some old guy who was there, who kept asking whether we thought Factory was a good or bad thing. So we had a chat. I asled him if he had all the Joy Division records. It was all good. The guy from CC leant over ot my friend and started whispering osmething but I was too drunk to notice.

When we had got out of earshot, my mate turned round to me and asked if I knew who I'd just been talking to. No, but I was sure I recognised him. You know who it was?

See, I can really appreciate the great hair/untouchable coolness thing IF it's married to something quite new and exciting and not just sub-sub-Oasis drivel dirge. Libs etc = Oh wow, your jackets too small, your spending daddy's money on smack, wow. Whereas CC et al = Wow! There's been more keyboards and less guitars around MCR recently, so I've been a happy chap. I'm still drunk

I'm not aware of any Barbelith connection except that autopilot disengaged/kicking_k and nikon driver, who founded It Came From The Sea but before that were round these parts, are tight with the people who do 20 Jazz Funk Greats. As may be some other people from Brighton. And I once got in a flamescrap with them in the comments box of Fluxblog... it was about Rachel Stevens or Kylie or something... you know how we do.

I only really am into one Crystal Castles tune, 'Air War', but I do love that. Go on Allecto, this is your time, these are your people, etc. Can you get me some Hadouken?
