So here is World War Hulk the animated movie. It may have a slightly different script than the comic book version, as Marvel didn't really consult with me, but it's pretty entertaining and was fun to make. So enjoy.

OK, you seriously need to email that to Rich Johnston. And to Joe Q. directly. And to everyone in the comics biz. Hilarious!! I want to see that spreading virally PRONTO! (also, great theme music selection there)

This is the official version now. The print story was wiped out of continuity by Hulk cocking an eyebrow and punching a hole through Namor. Hulk walking on Reed Richards while beating the top half of him. Hulk being Hulk.

I tried to drink while it started, and right around Black Bolt I think I administered guinness and oxygen directly to my brain. I put the bottle down and tried to eat and then ensured the stout would stay plugged in my upper head by clogging my nasal channel with ramen. No part of that other continuity's done that, yet.

Jack needs to do the post-Millar Ultimates instead of, well, anyone else on the planet. Except maybe Brendan McCarthy. With, then. Jack needs to do a run on The Ultimates with Brendan McCarthy.

Thanks everyone! That's the longest one I did, and the only one where I was kinda crackin' up at my own stuff while doing it. You should see the storyboards scribbled on the back of old envelopes.

Jack Denfeld you are Barbelith's Quentin Tarantino.

We should see those storyboards! Hopefully the special edition dvd will have them as extras.
I know I'd buy it.

Like an evil Superboy punch, right?

Seriously, this needs to be seen by people outside the Barbelith community and get out to the larger comics world. Many more people need to laugh upon seeing this.

Minor note: I do wish you'd credit the musical acts... who was that?

It sounds like the style of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, but I don't think it's them. Enlighten us, Senor Denfield...

A quick googling reveals it to be Andrew W.K.

Oh yeah, sorry, it's Andrew WK Ready to Die. Big stupid music for a big stupid monster. And it's about killing but with that bouncy happy beat.

It's totally perfect.

(Tiny niggle: I'd speed up the animation a bit.)

Genius! Jack, i think you are the only artist to perfectly capture the inherent smugness of Mr Fantastic. Fucker's in the sun now where he belongs. Good job.

actually, speeding up the animation just ever so slightly does seem like a good idea. sometimes I was waiting for what felt like a long time for each new thing to happen.

One or two places could be sped up, other times, I think the delay - we know vaguely what's going to happen, but we have to wait for it - makes the pay-out worth all its chips and more.

I just wish some of those thumbnail theatre things that used to be semi-popular for anime, were done in this style. Instead of the thumbnails. Which, yes, changes the premise and everything, but still.

And if this isn't in this week's Lying in the Gutters...

I *SO* expected this to make Lying in the Gutters, and just about shed a tear when it wasn't included... not for lack of trying or quality comedy product, mind you.
