Yeah. I'm not entirely certain I'd want to see Martha in the Torchwood writing teams hands. She's a great character in Who, but left to Torchwoods tender care she'd probably start obsessively fancying Owen Harper for inexeplicable reasons immediately.

It's from the commentary and relating to an announcement to be made on Monday about the future of the character. I really don't want to see her in Torchwood, ruined by association with all those shitebags. The kiddies are likely to want to watch Torchwood if they know Martha's going to be in it. I certainly don't think such a move would be wise, considering Torchwood is the show where they discuss the having of blinding orgasms while on the run from cannibals.

Short version: Martha will be back for season four of Doctor Who but will first be turning up in four episodes of Torchwood . From the last paragraph of this press release it isn't clear but it's possible she'll only be guest starring in a few Who episodes as well, as the Doctor might have a new companion.

Y'know I do like most of Torchwood, various weaknesses aside. Really while there are other things I'd like changed only one thing really has to, in order for me to be able consider myself a fan of the show. And that's for the writers to ensure that no character ever fancies bloody rapist Owen Harper ever again. People improbably finding him dead seaxy left, right and centre is the thing that just won't let me like the show as a whole. Everything else is a minor niggle really.
