that spoiler video is weirder than anything that could have the Joker in.

Am I missing something? because all i get is a pixelated picture of some kid's orthodontic work.

Yes, there's a video

I was thinking exactly that, as it didn't play automatically, but the play button is located in the bottom left hand corner.

Brendon over at Filmick is claiming that [+] [-] Big Spoiler

Check the story out here. I suppose it could be balls, but it would seem that Brendon's got some good contacts and a nose for bullshit, so I'm thinking it's probably on the money.

I didn't get the chance to see it yet, but apparently you can (poorly) see the Joker in these vids.

Actually you get a fairly decent look at the whole Joker costume as whole.

Mr. J looks like a cross between I-Make-Suits-From-The-Backs-Of-Fat-Women Buffalo Bill and, well, the Joker.

I'm quite liking it; grim but gaudy, and at the same tone of 'realism' that the first film was set at.

Yeah, I liked it too. There was a certain low-key 'classy'-hannibalish vibe from Joker in DKR, but translated into something more to my taste somehow (if that makes any sense at all -- maybe because there's still a hint of Bollandish colour). The overall tone is quite nicely fitting with what one could make with the established world and mood.

Just hoping they'll take more advantage of an absurd grand vertiginous swooping kick-ass action this time (even if that entails a certain level of DKR's self-conscious real.dark.grey. hammer.tanker. pound.pressing.punch.). I don't know why, but the concept of Batman's high-adventure always entails him swinging from a speeding helicopter at some point or falling from great heights sometimes meaning making a grand entrance -- I might have been influenced a bit too much by Schumacher as a kid than I'd like. But I wonder how that would go in the same movie of a dark Joker.

how intensely spoiler-y are the pics & videos above? Or do they just provide a brief glimpse of Heath in Joker attire?

I've heard there will be a short teaser showcasing Heath at SDCC... [there are text-only descriptions of said teaser out there online right now]

Haven't watched the videos, but the pics are spoiler-free. Just Joker-Heath standing around in costume. That creepy, creepy, gives-me-nightmares-costume...

Allegedly there's a teaser on it's way, attached to prints of the Simpsons.

Too late, but some say the teaser will bu pu in this site as soon as the clock countdown reaches zero (a litte less than five hours to go as I type this). Or, alternatively, everybody that goes to the location pointed at the site will be killed by Joker's laughing gas.

Either way, it`s cool...

That was better than any teaser, I think. Anticipation. Why so serious? Counting down, growing more interested, and then... Get more recruits to the van, any way you can...

taking place right now at san diego comicon: warner's viral marketing had put nerds in an AMAZING RACE-like contest that involses smoke planes, secret morse codes, anagrams, voice messages and facepaint. updates at aintitcool and batmovie news as we speak.

the teaser description from the previous link: it was mostly audio. the only image we see is a darkened screen that gets progressively lightened by the white beams that ultimately form the broken batlogo.

audio is alfred and bruce wayne talking about how the criminals have pushed him over the edge, and alfred mentoring him by saying he let himself be pushed but could do something about. then the joker's voice comes in announcing [in a multi-pitched tone] he promissed a lot of people would die by the end of the night, then eerie manic laughter...

Yeah, thanks Hector. That trailer rocks. I'm getting really, really unreasonably exited about this now. It's probably fairly silly to wishing almost a whole year of one's life away waiting for a two hour film. But I am anyway. Oh yes.

the viral game has just finished, and what it brought was a couple of Gotham police [1] reports [2] ad this new pic of Joker and Rachel [notice how his makeup, apart from the mouth scar, is painted-on], plus a link to that leaked teaser [which it's in HD and taking forever to load here]

these guys here have archived the sceen-by-screen process of the campaign. should have been fun for those present at SDCC.

Odd looking Ledger with Maggie. Not sure I like it (the make-up here, panda eyes, the thin curly hair, mouth), but it's just a/one/the picture. Probably I just got stick in my head with more graphic side-cuts of the mouth* and stronger definition lines in the B&W photo. It is quite Crowy, no?

*btw, isn't that what they do in prisons so they can do... that thing they do?

The many pictures of kids in Joker make-up in the website reminded me of the gang in DKR. Might be a plot point.

But I'm really looking foward for his Joker delivery.

Actually, I've heard they break the person's teeth so he can't bite down on someone's raison d'etre.

Britain has, unfortunately, something similar to the Joker's mouth in a Chelsea Smile.

Jeeesus fucking christ...

The things you can learn after lunch on a lazy afternoon. The teeth I'd heard about, don't know why I even thought it could relate to the mouth, no sense what so ever. Wondering if Nolan went for self-inflicted or what.

One thing I'm incredibly optimistic about is Maggie Sorry-I-Cant-Spell-The-Brothers-Names-If-Life-Depended-On-It. Hoping she'll have more screen time in it in writing more lile the car slapping scene and not so much Kim Basinger-like (romance & victim) the photo above is sort of suggesting. I liked the character, even with some sketchy writing on some bits and Holmes.

It's still jarring the amount of high profile incredible actors these new films got. Almost makes you want to let them sacrifice Joker screen time to see them.

Great, now I want the Joker to goose Batman and to explain his mouth with a quick shrug and 'It's a sex thing.'

When Bowie didn't end up playing him, we lost all chance of a Joker with good hair, didn't we? Forever.

Still if the movie's in the spirit of the teaser and the various marketing campaigns, then all's well.
