I appreciate that you're apologising. I appreciate the fact that you're trying to communicate. But what would really be welcome now would be any sense that you understand what you're apologising for, how you might try and approach things differently in future. Right now you seem to be thinking along the lines of Angry chicks + men agreeing with angry chicks = offer something to calm down angry chicks = flower!, which is not going to help.

It's also worth considering that while you may have pissed off many women with your comments, you may also have pissed off some people who are not women but who still find assertions about women needing big penii pretty offensive. So, perhaps you'd consider dedicating your flower to everyone, not just 'the girls'. Addressing grown women as 'girls' is often thought patronising and infantilising as well, so perhaps you could consider changing that as well?

An attempt at an apology is better than no apology at all, since it shows a person who has probably realised that an apology is needed. There is also some excuse for language.

Despite some of the things you have said E-Coli I hope that the people toward whom your apology is directed accept it, and that you are clear in yourself why it was necessary. Then hopefully we can move on instead of growing threads to 100+ replies in only a day or so.
