Essential Dazzler
(prev. Dazzler)
21:29 / 23.11.06
Sorry all, I think I'm going to sit this one out. None of my tracks fit the aesthetic properly, it's been driving me up the wall.

Apologies for holding the whole mess up. I may volunteer to run a month as penance...

Ooh could I jump in with a late replacement? I have a track - it's a bit lame, but it fits the theme if not the aesthetic. Shall I PM it?

Mike Modular
23:27 / 23.11.06
Go on then...

OK, so the discs are burnt and half the covers are printed. Jiffy bags have been addressed, so it's just a matter of trundling down to the post office - which won't be any earlier than this Friday I'm afraid. So yeah, the carnival is coming to your town very soon...!

Princess Augustine the Hippo

It's good. Very good. I might have to drool.

Stoatie. Stoatie? STOATIE.
(prev. Stoatie's power level is >9000)
11:28 / 08.12.06
I've got mine, but I'm not gonna get a chance to listen to it until Monday. I will say, however, that the cover fucking rocks.

Mike Modular, there's a beer with your name on it at ATP.

I got mine today! Thank you, curator Mike!

And thatīs a very intriguing cover.

Mike Modular
19:34 / 12.12.06
Hoorah! So, it's got as far as Germany. Now, how long before the US gets hit? Glad the cover is proving popular...

MattShepherd: LARGELY ABSENT!
11:56 / 14.12.06
Canada has landed! Woohoo!

This is my favourite mix to date, to be honest. Top marks for track sequencing, Mike!

Tom Waits knows Kali
(prev. Kali, owner of a mouthy cat)
14:38 / 14.12.06
I'm hoping this is in my mailbox when I get home. Provided the riffraff who walk up and down in front of my home haven't swiped it from the mailbox. Isn't the postal service required to provide your mailbox with a lock? Aren't they??

MattShepherd: LARGELY ABSENT!
15:50 / 14.12.06
In Canada, no. Not for rural mailboxes, anyway.

Tsuga
00:50 / 15.12.06
And here it is. I'll be listening as soon as I get a chance, hopefully tomorrow. I too am quite fond of the cover. Thanks again, MM.

It says a lot that the Coil track isn't close to the weirdest song on this cd.

02:51 / 19.12.06
THIS MIX IS MY WIFE NOW.

I'm not ready to do any voting, but yes, masterful.

Was sure someone was going to put "Waltzinblack" by the Stranglers on it, but I refuse to regret choosing my own nomination in its favor.

Tom Waits knows Kali
(prev. Kali, owner of a mouthy cat)
17:29 / 19.12.06
Got it yesterday. It's ace. Probably the best of the lot. Or maybe the one closest to what my head sounds like.

Mike Modular
03:24 / 20.12.06
Such kind words. But remember, it's good because YOU made it so...

I had a lot of fun putting this together, so thanks to all who contributed. You can vote now if you want, but don't expect me to tot up the results this side of Xmas...

So, who's not got one? Has it made it to Australia yet...?

11:56 / 20.12.06
Do we vote here in the thread?

sorenson
14:06 / 20.12.06
hasn't reached my bit of australia yet

i expect it is caught up in the crazy christmas post. i'll be away for a week from tomorrow, so please go ahead and vote without me if everyone else has it.

the suspense is killing me though!

MattShepherd: LARGELY ABSENT!
14:41 / 20.12.06
How did you mix it, Mike? There's an intriguing level of overlap between songs sometimes.

Mike Modular
15:00 / 20.12.06
Voting via PM, please. I'll be revealing who sent what as well (unless you all request otherwise...)

I mixed it with Roxio's Jam software, which has crossfading abilities. I just can't seem to make a mix any other way these days, so I hope it's to everyone's liking...

Kiltartan Cross
23:40 / 20.12.06
Liking? Most definitely so!
