This time it's the launch of a free full colour local comic called "The Strip". It's at the Nest Gallery on St. James Street (up the top near the Sidewinder pub) on the 26th April from 8pm. There'll be lots of exhibitors including me and (I think) MacReady. I will also be providing amusement with my shit singer songwriter act. There will be wine, women and quite possibly my Mum and Dad too! Let's Go!

Well, that was fun. I particularly enjoyed the fight kicking off whilst I was trying to entertain in my Galactus helmet. Good standard of work. Fine exhibition. Go see.

Best Galactus Helmet Ever. Also fine art, the Amusing Brothers on the stairs is particularly funny.

The amusing brothers having the fight downstairs was even funnier.

"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!"

Hahahahahahhahahaha....

But, yeah, a really good standard of work throughout.

You'll be too late. The fight's finished now...

Oh, right, gotcha.

I followed the shouty guy, he went to the next bar down the road followed by his fussing girlfriend and had a drunken post-fight analysis over a fag. He was twatted. I almost went in to tell him what to do (i.e. be less of a cock) but I thought it wouldn't be diplomatic..

Oh no Quants, I'm sure he would've really appreciated it.

Well? Hmm? What news oh devourer of worlds?

The article started off with a description of me! ME! Interestingly they referred to me as "a man in a Galactus helmet" like everyone should know who Galactus is. Perhaps everyone does...?

Actually sold a bit of art, too! This is clearly my one moment in time when I'm all that I thought I could be, when all of my dreams are a heartbeat away and the answers are all up to me.

Do tell more. What section was the write-up in? What justification did they give for writing up such a little exhibition?

Not that your work shouldn't be national news, just curious is all. Was it something to do with the festival?

It was in G2/the media Guardian in their little round up section...

It was mainly about The Strip, Brighton's free comic, but also covered the launch exhibition a little bit at the beginning.

Turns out the guy who started the fight was actually one of the PR guys for The Strip! I guess he was kinda doing his job in that it got people talking about the night.

Now I seeeee.

agh. He wasn't the guy who did the C**v book, by any chance?

(I only know who Galactus is thanks to you, F. I am ignorant by Guardians arts section standards.)
