Google Earth is a free program, with which you can look at photos of the Earth, wherever you choose to look. Some places (mostly major cities) are very detailed.

I got this idea from another board: "Google Earth" where you are, and put the photo here in the thread. This way we can in turn stare in awe at our fabulous dwelling places.

Here is mine [notice my castle!]

Ok, I admit my appartment is in the topright corner of the photo.

They´ve just recently finished that lawn. Now the park is the way, it was designed by Simeon Godeau at the end of the 17th century. They plan on making people pay "voluntarily" this spring!

The castle even plays a part in the Baroque Cycle, when the young princes gets the giant globe for her birthday!

I live in the red rectangle on the upper left, and am sitting and typing in the southern one...

The big mountain between the two has a neat ruined fortress and wall running along the whole top of it...

I thought this point would come up. Of course, your location says "London", where that stalker is supposed to be. So he might recognise the area.

For everybody outside London, who may feel uncomfortable: If you just cut off the latitude and longitude, it´s almost impossible to tell where you live just by looking at you houses from 300 feet above.

We could test that with the London Barbeloids. I´ll post a randomn neighbourhood of London and you can guess where it´s at:

I photoshopped the picture and tweaked the colours. In Google Earth it was more of a faint orangebrown. And it´s not South London (where I saw similar game courts).

You press the print button. Then open a program like paint or photoshop. Choose "new". Then press ctrl+v. The photo should appear. You can then change and save it.

You´re right Jub! It was tough to localize, I compared the photo to my London map: it´s between Farringdon road and St. John street. There´s such a maze of streets inbetween, that I can´t exactly tell, what crossroad it is.

BTW, while I was getting out the map, I found 34.35 £ in cash!

The coins look funny: one 1 £ coin has a palm tree, the other one a dragon. And the .20 is smaller than the .10
